President Hichilema Arrives in New York for UN General Assembly
President Hakainde Hichilema has arrived in New York City, in the United States of America where he is scheduled to attend the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The President and his entourage touched down at New York City’s John F Kennedy International Airport at about 21:11 hours Zambian time.
President Hichilema was welcomed on arrival at JFK airport by Zambia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dr. Ngosa Simbyakula.
The President is expected to deliver a keynote speech to the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday. In his keynote speech, the President will highlight Zambia’s domestic policy priorities, while outlining the country’s foreign policy position on key and emerging global issues.
This is according to a statement issued by Special Assistant to the President and Presidential Spokesperson Mr. Anthony Bwalya.
